I Need a Hero! What Makes a Great BDSM Hero?

BAM5LOL

Personally, I love the strong, committed Alpha who has your back even when he doesn’t agree with you and would really love to spank your butt. He’s also willing to give you the space to spread your wings and catch you when you fall, but he has his own vulnerabilities.  Wouldn’t we all love that in real life?  I think the answer to that question is different for different authors and readers!  Let me know what you think!

Some of my favorite heroes are Miguel Juan Carlos Gatto-Alba the DA in Gabriella’s Prosecution.  In some ways he was modeled after my ex, at least his family history was.  Troy Barnett in Jinxx’s Big BDSM Adventure was modeled after a friend I made on Facebook.  He actually is a Scottish construction engineer! He told me that he wanted a book written about us, so I complied.  When I asked him what he thought after he read one of my books he said, “I’m shocked beyond comprehension, but I’ll support anything you want to do.”  Music to my ears. I’m also very fond of Jamie Devereau from Anne’s Courage.  He appears in lots of the other books as a background character.  He’s a bad boy who is a really good man and to tell the truth he rings all of my chimes.  LOL – loudly!   That particular book is special to me because I, too, have breast cancer scars so Anne’s feelings are a lot like my own.  In the M/m category, I love Steel Cameron from Mac’s Damaged Dom.  He has great physical challenges to battle through to get to a place where he can let down his emotional walls and let love in.

I’m always on the hunt for a new good hero! Aren’t we all?  Good hunting! –  Skye
